Before you start

  • You know whether your business needs to collect tax for the first invoice.

What you'll do

You will either add a tax rate or explicitly choose that you do not collect tax yet so invoice readiness is clear.

Do this

  1. 1

    Open Tax Management

Go to Settings, then Tax Management.

  2. 2

Add a tax rate if needed

Create the rate you expect to use on your first invoice.

  3. 3

    Choose no tax if applicable

If you do not collect tax yet, use the setup-guide no-tax choice so Zentive does not keep treating tax as unfinished.

  4. 4

    Review before sending

Before sending a real invoice, confirm the line items and tax total match your customer agreement.

This is not tax advice

If you are unsure whether to collect tax, check with your accountant or local tax authority before sending the invoice.
