Before you start

  • You uploaded a customer import file and saw validation errors.

What you'll fix

You will correct failed rows without re-importing customers that already succeeded.

Do this

  1. 1

    Download the error file

Use the failed-row download from the import preview or result screen.

  2. 2

    Read the reason column

Common reasons include missing customer name, invalid email, invalid phone, duplicate rows, or address fields in the wrong columns.

  3. 3

    Fix only failed rows

Keep the corrected failed rows in a new file so successful customers are not duplicated.

  4. 4

    Upload the corrected file

Run the import again. The onboarding milestone is satisfied when at least one real customer imports and the import meets the success threshold.

Partial success is okay

If most rows imported successfully, continue setup and come back to the failed rows after your first quote or invoice.
